AFW2 is celebrating 10 years of building macroeconomic capacity in Anglophone West Africa and Cabo Verde.

March 2024 marked 10 years since the center’s opening, presided over by DMD Antoinette Sayeh and former Minister of Finance of Ghana, Seth Terkper (LINK). Since then, four successive directors and the AFW2 team have delivered 1244 CD activities to the tune of 67.1 million USD to its six member member countries, strengthening institutional capacity to implement key reforms in revenue administration, public finance management, monetary operations, financial supervision, and statistics. The center was delighted to welcome IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva on the occasion of the anniversary in March 2024.
